The Catholic Youth Sports Committee organized Football Championship in the Chaldean Church of St. George (mar Gorgis) on the 11th of October 2021 under the patronage of His Eminence the bishop Basilios Yalda, Associate Patriarch of the Chaldeans. 12 teams from different Christian denominations have participated in the championship, the Armenian ST. Gregory the Illuminator church’s football team was one of them. Many Guests attended the championship like priests of several churches and the member of the Armenian central administrative body, Mr. Garabet Kalustian. Before starting the games, the teams who were participating in the championship were demonstrated and all prayed together.
