Under the patronage of His Eminence Archbishop Dr. Avak Asadourian, head of the Armenian Orthodox sect in Iraq, the cultural Committee of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) in Iraq held on the 3ed of December 2021 a special artistic ceremony for Sayat Nova band for Armenian folk songs on the occasion of the centenary of the musician Arno Babaganian. The evening was started with the Iraqi and Armenian national anthems, followed by a speech by the association’s administrative body and included songs composed by the musician Babaganian.  The evening was attended by the head of the Armenian community in France, His Grace Bishop Vahan Hovhannesian, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Iraq, Mr. Alek Gharibian, Father Kevork Arshakian, deputy Member of the Central Administrative Committee, representatives of Armenian associations and clubs and members of the Association.
