On the 5th of January 2022, A Divine Liturgy for Christmas Eve was held at the Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator, celebrated by the head of the Armenian Orthodox sect in Iraq, His Eminence Archbishop Dr. Avak Asadourian. And On the 6th of January 2022, the Christmas Liturgy was held. During the liturgy, water was blessed and distributed to the attendees and was attended by the Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Alek Gharibian, members of the Central Administrative Committee, and a lot of faithfuls.
