On the 28th of April 2022, and Under the patronage of His Eminence Archbishop Dr. Avak Asadourian, head of the Armenian Orthodox sect in Iraq, the Cultural Committee of the Armenian Youth Association held an evening on the occasion of the 107th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The evening started with the Iraqi and Armenian national anthems, followed by a speech by the member of the association’s administrative body. Songs, patriotic poems and instrumentals were also performed during the evening. The evening was attended by the Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Iraq, Mr. Alek Gharibian, Father Kevork Arshagian, the head and members of the Central Administrative Committee and the member of the Administrative Subcommittee in Basra, Mr. Novak Bedrosian, representatives of Armenian associations and clubs, and many members of the Association.
