On the 9th of May 2022, the former Minister of Youth and Sports in Lebanon, Mrs. Arpine Ohanian, visited the Armenian Diocese. She was received by the head of the Central Administrative Committee, Mr. Melkon Melkonian, and visited the Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator. Then she was received by His Eminence Archbishop Dr. Avak Asadourian, head of the Armenian Orthodox sect in Iraq, in the presence of the Central Administrative Committee at the Archdiocese Hall, which the Minister got acquainted with the archdiocese departments and their employees. She also visited the Armenian Sports Club (Homentmen) and met with members of the club’s administrative body. At the end of the visit, she was invited to a lunch in her honor.
