priests from Armenia arrive Baghdad

On the 23ed of July 2022, the reverend father Ghevont Sagatilian and Father Atam Movsesian, arrive Baghdad from the Church of the Holy See of Etchmiadzin in Armenia, In order to work at the Armenian Diocese, where the Archimandrite Oshagan Gulgulian, the head of the Armenian community, received the priests. The next morning, Father Adam Movsesian celebrated his first Divine Liturgy at the Church of St. Garabet headed by the head of the sect, on the occasion of the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ, the former head of the Armenian sect, His Eminence Archbishop Dr. Avak Asadourian was present. He again welcomed the priests, introduced them to the faithfuls and wished them success. In the evening, the archimandrite met at the hall of Meline Iskandarian’s infirmary with the management committee of the infirmary, in the presence of the former Archbishop and the newly arrived priests. On the 25th of July 2022, the priests visited the Armenian Diocese and got acquainted with the staff and departments of the Diocese, where the Deacon Aram Ketengian gave them information about the construction and history of the Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator, in addition to the information about the establishment of the museum, library and other departments of the Diocese.
