On October 15th, 2022, Archimandrite Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, visited the Syriac Orthodox Diocese. He was received by Archbishop Seferios Hawa, head of the Syriac Orthodox in Baghdad and Basra, and many priests. Prayer was held in the church, following which the interrelationship between the two sister churches and other church affairs were discussed.
