On August 15, 2025, under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, a Divine Liturgy was held at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Baghdad.
The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Reverend Father Terenig Sahagian, who was recently appointed to serve the church and the members of the community in Iraq, alongside Reverend Father Aren Marderosian. During the Liturgy, His Grace Bishop Gulgulian consecrated an icon of the Holy Virgin Mary.
The blessed ceremony was attended by clergy; Ms. Zarouhi Nersesian, Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Iraq; members of the Central Administrative Committee; the Church Affairs Committee; and a large number of faithful believers.
