On May 28, 2021 the member of Iraqi Parliament Baida Salman, visited the Armenian Orthodox diocese in Iraq, and she was received by His Eminence Archbishop Dr. Avak Asadourian, head of the Armenian Orthodox sect, with the presence of some members of the Central Administrative Committee and the director of the representative’s office, Mr. Riyad Qariu. During the meeting, many issues related to religious minorities and ways to solve them were discussed.
