On July 25-2021 His Eminence Archbishop Dr. Avak Asadourian, During his pastoral visit to northern Iraq,  met the sect members in Dohuk, where His Eminence presided over a liturgy at the Church of St. Nerses Shnorhali, during the liturgy the pastor of the church, Father Masis Shahinian, was given an ornate robe as a reward which was from His Holiness Catholicos All-Armenian Karikin II. Deacons and servants of the church were also ordained and church icons were consecrated. The event was attended by the Administrative Subcommittee , a group of members of the sect and the member of the Central Administrative Committee, Mr. Kevork Kadoian.
