On July 24, 2026, under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, a Divine Liturgy was held at the Church of St. Nerses Shnorhali in Duhok. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Archimandrite Nerseh Khalatian, who arrived in Iraq from the Holy See of Etchmiadzin at the direction of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, to participate in the election process for the Primate of the Armenian Orthodox Diocese in Iraq. The Liturgy was also attended by the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Masis Shahenian.
Following the Divine Liturgy, His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian and Archimandrite Nerses Khalatian met with members of the Armenian community in Duhok in the church hall. They had the opportunity to become better acquainted with the faithful and engage in warm and friendly conversations.
