The cultural committee of the Armenian General Benevolent Union held a concert on the 30th of October 2021 under the patronage of His Eminence Archbishop Dr. Avak Asadourian, head of the Armenian Orthodox community in Iraq, on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the establishment of AGBU. The concert was for the Sayat Nova band for kids (Armenian folklore group) of dancing and playing in Tajirian Hall. The ceremony started with a speech by a member of the administrative board, Mr. Boghos Mardirosian, followed by traditional dances and music. The evening was attended by the Charge d’Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Iraq, Mr. Alek Gharibian, Father Kevork Arshagian, members of the Central Administrative Committee, representatives of Armenian associations and clubs, and several members of the Association.
