On September 11, 2022, a Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Father Kevork Arshakian on the occasion of the Feast of The Exaltation of the Holy Cross at the church of St Garabet. The Devine Liturgy was presided over by Archimandrite Oshagan Gulgulian, the head of the Armenian Orthodox sect. According to the Armenian church traditions, the basil was blessed in the churchyard and distributed to the attendees. It is worth noting that the young adults of the Church Lovers Association participated in this liturgy under the supervision of the head of the sect. Mr. Alek Gharibian, The Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Iraq, and his wife attended the liturgy.
