On October 13th, 2022, The Baghdad Tennis Federation held a championship for the age groups 8 through 14-year-olds, boys and girls, at Al Shaab International Stadium under the patronage of Mr. Hussein Al-Saidi. The Armenian Sports Club (Homenetmen) player Shoger Tomasian came in first in the championship for 14-year-old girls and Ali Hussein took second in the 8-year-old boys category.
