On August 16, 2023, in the diocese hall, Archimandrite Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, received the newly appointed director of the Armenian Primary School, Dr. Sabah Elia; the former director; and members of the educational staff. The meeting was attended by the pastor of the Armenian Church in Basra, V. Rev Fr. Ghevont Sagatilian, and the head of the Central Administrative Committee, Mr. Garbed Kaloustian. The Archimandrite congratulated and thanked Dr. Elia, who accepted the position of director upon request from the Central Committee and approval by Archimandrite Gulgulian. The Archimandrite wished Dr. Elia a fruitful professional life, and thanked the former school principal, Mr. Albert Chulakian, for his long service, asking him to continue his work within the school and be a mentor to the newly appointed principal. On this occasion, the Archimandrite also mentioned with joy and pride the 100% success of our students in the Ministerial Exams for the academic year 2022-2023.
