On September 5, 2023, Archimandrite Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, received a delegation led by the head of the Armenian Catholic community in Aleppo, Bishop Boutros Mirayati. The guests visited the Church of Saint Gregory the Illuminator and then went to the diocese hall where a discussion took place on issues related to Christianity, as well as the current situation in Armenia. Archimandrite Oshagan Gulgulian presented a brief overview of the history of the Armenians of Iraq and the Armenian Orthodox Church. The meeting was attended by the priests and the head and members of the Central Administrative Committee.
