On February 9, 2024, under the auspices of Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, His Eminence Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, a Divine Liturgy was held at the Church of Saint Gregory the Illuminator in Baghdad on the occasion of the Feast of St. Vartan. The Liturgy was offered by Reverend Father Kevork Arshagian. In his sermon, His Eminence, Bishop Gulgulian, spoke about the anniversary of the Battle of Avarayr in the year 451 AD. At the end of the Liturgy, His Eminence the Bishop blessed those bearing the name Vartan. The Liturgy was attended by scouts of the Armenian Homenetmen Sports Club, some members of the Central Committee, and the faithful.
