On February 26, 2024, the President of the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Vahagin Khachadourian, arrived on an official visit to Iraq. On the same evening, the President of the Republic of Armenia received the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, His Eminence Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian; the priests; the head and members of the Central Administrative Committee; members of the administrative bodies of associations and clubs; and a priest and representatives of the Armenian Catholic community. His Eminence, Bishop Gulgulian gave a stirring speech including a brief history of the Armenians in Iraq and then presented the President with a gift. In turn, the Armenian President thanked His Eminence and those present. Following, they had a conversation about the current situation in Armenia and the world in general.
