On April 6, 2024, under the auspices of the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, His Eminence Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, the Cultural Association of Armenian Women in Iraq organized a cultural evening dedicated to the memory of the poet Silva Gaboudigian at the Armenian Youth Association on the occasion of Mother’s Day. The evening was attended by the former Primate of the Armenian Orthodox community, Archbishop Dr. Avak Asadourian; the Primate of the Armenian Catholic community, His Eminence Bishop Nerses Joseph Zabarian; the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Iraq, Mr. Ropen Soghoian; the head and some members of the Central Administrative Committee; the newly appointed priests; and the administration of the Armenian Public Primary School. The evening was opened with a speech by Mrs. Nousheg Melkonian, representative of the Cultural Association, wherein she blessed all mothers. This was followed by the recitation of poems, words, and songs by the poet.
