On June 30, 2024, in response to the invitation of the President of the Masarat Foundation for Cultural and Media Development, Dr. Saad Salloum, His Eminence Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, participated in the press conference organized by the Foundation. The purpose of the press conference was to highlight the adverse impacts of hate speech and prescribe ways to take action. His Eminence Bishop Gulgulian said in his speech, “It is the responsibility of all to resist hate speech. Words are very powerful and have the ability to bring nations together around a unified cause for good, and just as easily they have the ability to turn brother against brother and nation against nation.” It is worth noting that the opening speech of the press conference was delivered by the Patriarch of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and the World, His Holiness Patriarch Louis Sako. The conference was attended by clerics from various sects and religions, diplomats, officials, and the Chairman of the Central Administrative Committee, Mr. Garabed Kaloustian.
