On September 8, 2024, under the auspices of His Eminence Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, a Divine Liturgy was held at the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin in Kirkuk on the occasion of the Anniversary of the Birth of Saint Mary the Virgin. The Liturgy was offered by the pastor of the Holy Cross Church in Erbil, Reverend Father Artoun Khalatian. At the end of the Liturgy, a blessing ceremony was performed for the priestly robe presented by His Eminence the Bishop, which was brought from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin in Armenia. The Liturgy was attended by the Chairman of the Central Administrative Committee, Mr. Garaped Kaloustian; the Chairman of the Sub-Administrative Committee in Kirkuk, Mr. Masis Sarkissian; and a group of faithful.
