On September 15, 2024, under the auspices of His Eminence Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, a Divine Liturgy was held on the occasion of the Feast of the Holy Cross in the Armenian Orthodox Church of the Holy Cross in Erbil. Reverend Father Artoun Khalatian, pastor of the Holy Cross Armenian Orthodox Church in Erbil, and Reverend Father Masis Shahinian participated in the Liturgy along with the pastor of the Church of Nerses Shnorhali in Dohuk and Reverend Father Hagopos Isahakian, the pastor of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Zakho. The Liturgy was attended by His Excellency the Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Erbil, Mr. Antranig Haroutounian; the heads and members of the administrative subcommittees of the Armenian Orthodox community in Erbil, Dohuk, Kirkuk, Zakho, and Havresk; and a large gathering of the faithful members of the Armenian community. After the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian performed the Antasdan service, otherwise known as the blessing of the four corners of the world, in the church courtyard.
