On March 24, 2025, under the patronage of His Beatitude Cardinal Louis Raphael Sako, Patriarch of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and Worldwide, the Catholic Youth Sports Committee organized the 4th annual “Pope Francis” football competitionThe opening ceremony, attended by His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, began with the Lord’s Prayer. The Armenian Apostolic Church was represented in the tournament by the football team of St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral in Baghdad.
