Mid-Lenten prayer at the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin in Basra

On March 26, 2025, under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, a prayer was held at the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin in Basra on the occasion of Mid-Lent. His Grace delivered a speech on the occasion, explaining to the faithful the meaning of Great Lent and Mid-Lent. Following this, the traditional blessing of the Mid-Lent cake took place in the church courtyard, and it was distributed among the faithful. His Grace was accompanied by Reverend Father Ardag.
