On April 25, 2025, under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, a Divine Liturgy was held at the Church of St. Garabed in Baghdad, to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The Liturgy was celebrated by Reverend Father Sebouh Baghdasarian. Following the Liturgy, attendees proceeded to the Khatchkar Memorial to lay wreaths in honor of the victims. The event was attended by His Eminence Archbishop Avak Asadourian, former Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq; priests; the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Iraq, Mr. Rupen Soghoian; the Consul Miss Zarouhi Nersesian; Mr. Garabed Kaloustian, Head of the Central Administrative Committee along with its members; Mr. Mounir Nisan, member of the Assyrian Democratic Party’s Political Bureau; as well as members of the administrative bodies of Armenian associations, scouts, and a large number of the faithful.
