On April 25, 2025, under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, the Armenian National Committee in Iraq, in collaboration with all Armenian associations and organizations, held a cultural and artistic evening on the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The event was held at the AGBU. The opening speech was delivered by Mr. Berg Toufenkjian, a member of the Central Administrative Committee, followed by patriotic songs and poems. Following, Professor Rawa Karim Sabr gave a lecture entitled “The Genocide from Armenians to Ghaza: Lessons from History and Challenges of the Present.” The evening was attended by His Eminence Archbishop Avak Asadourian, former Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq; leaders of other Christian denominations; priests; the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in Iraq, Mr. Rupen Soghoian; the Consul Miss Zaruhi Nersesian; Dr. Rami Joseph Souldzian, Head of the Christian, Yazidi, and Sabean Mandaean Religious Endowments in Iraq; members of the Central Administrative Committee; and representatives of associations, researchers, and guests.
