On May 6, 2025, under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, the Armenian Orthodox Diocese in Iraq held a tribute gathering honoring Reverend Father Ardag Merzoian for his service to the Church in Iraq. The event took place at the AGBU. The evening was attended by His Eminence Archbishop Avak Asadourian, former primate of the Diocese; the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Iraq, Mr. Rupen Sogoian; and Consul Miss Zarouhi Nersesian; along with priests, deacons, the church choir director, the head and members of the Central Administrative Committee, as well as representatives of Armenian associations. During the gathering, words of appreciation and gratitude were expressed to Reverend Father Ardag, who in turn conveyed his heartfelt thanks to all attendees. He gave special thanks to his spiritual patron, His Grace Bishop Gulgulian, for the paternal care and support he had provided throughout his service.
