On January 3, 2026, The Council of Christian Denominations in Baghdad held a meeting at the headquarters of the Ancient Church of the East Patriarchate in Baghdad, with the presence of Patriarch Mar Gorges III.
The meeting was attended by His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, along with several other leaders of Christian denominations in the country.
During the meeting, matters concerning the Christian denominations in Iraq were discussed, with a focus on issues related to the religious and communal life of the Christian communities.
