On April 25, 2026, under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, the event was organized by the Armenian Orthodox Diocese and the Armenian Cause Committee to commemorate the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The evening included performances of national songs and poetry. Mr. Ari Rostom Boghossian, a member of the Sub-administrative Committee in Duhok, delivered a lecture on the Armenian Genocide. The evening was attended by His Eminence Archbishop Avak Asadourian, former Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq; Dr. Rami Joseph Aghajan, Head of the Diwan of Endowments for Christian, Yazidi, and Mandaean Religions; the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in Iraq, Mr. Rupen Soghoia; and the Head of the Central Administrative Committee, along with its members.
Also present were heads of various church denominations, priests, members of the administrative bodies of Armenian associations and clubs, scout groups, researchers, and guests.
