On May 6, 2026, funeral and burial rites for the late Raffi Yergoian were held at St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral in Baghdad. The services took place in the presence of His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq; His Eminence Archbishop Avak Asadourian, former Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq; the Head of the Central Administrative Committee; and the heads of the administrative sub-committees of Duhok, Zakho, Havresk, Kirkuk, and Basra, as well as clergy members. Also in attendance were members of the administrative boards of Armenian associations and clubs, together with the scouts and the Armenian Sports Club, Homenetmen.
Our Diocese extends its deepest condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased, praying that God may embrace him with His abundant mercy and grant him eternal peace in His heavenly kingdom.
