On May 28, 2026, His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, accompanied by Central Committee member Mr. Vartan Monjoghulian and the Reverend Fathers, welcomed Mr. Kildo Ramzi Oghana, Member of the Iraqi Parliament and head of the Suyana Christian Bloc, along with his accompanying delegation, at Melini Iskandarian Hall.
During the meeting, Mr. Oghana expressed the Suyana Bloc’s commitment to representing the will of the Iraqi Christian community with transparency and realism, serving both Iraq in general and the Christian presence in particular. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with the Armenian Orthodox Church in Iraq.
For his part, Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian welcomed the visit of the Member of Parliament and his delegation and expressed his appreciation for their efforts. He stressed the importance and necessity of effective representation of the Christian community and discussed a number of key issues that require attention at both the legislative and executive levels in order to improve the conditions of the Christian community in Iraq.
