On September 9, 2022, Archimandrite Oshagan Gulgulian, head of the Armenian Orthodox sect, received Mr. Abdul-Karim Mutlaq, the head of the “Media Security Foundation”, and his assistant, accompanied by Mr. Hovagim Chojaghaian, chairman of the Administration of the St. Virgin Mary church in Baghdad, with the attendance of Mr. Melkon Melkonian, Chairman of the Armenian Diocesan Council. The guests expressed their satisfaction with the Church’s supportive stance for believers of other religions, especially the last month on the occasion of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary at the Armenian Orthodox Church in Al-Maidan square, where thousands of believers from various religions and sects visited the church without discrimination. The guests handed the archimandrite an acknowledgment letter and congratulated him on the new position.
