On December 20, 2024, under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, a Divine Liturgy was held at the Cathedral of St. Gregory the Illuminator in Baghdad. The liturgy was offered by the pastor of the Armenian Church of the Holy Cross in Erbil, Reverend Father Artoun Khalatian. The sermon was delivered by the pastor of St. Nersess Shnorhali Church in Dohuk, Reverend Father Masis Shahenian. The Liturgy was concluded with the distribution of the Holy Myron (Chrism), which His Grace carried back with him from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin in Armenia. Following the Liturgy, a funeral prayer was held for the souls of those who served the Armenian community.
