On January 31, 2026, under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, a Divine Liturgy was held at the Church of St. Sarkis in the village of Havresk on the occasion of the Feast of St. Sarkis, with the participation of Reverend Father Sebouh Baghdasarian.
At the end of the Liturgy, His Grace consecrated the icon of St. Sarkis and offered his blessing and congratulations to members of the community bearing the name Sarkis. Following the service, a luncheon was held at Levon Pasha Hall.
The ceremony was attended by Reverend Father Masis Shahenian, Reverend Father Hagopos Isahagian, as well as the heads and members of the Administrative Sub-committees of Havresk, Zakho, Duhok, and Erbil.
