On July 26, 2026, under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, a Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Zakho. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Archimandrite Nerseh Khalatian.
Following the Divine Liturgy, His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian and Archimandrite Nerses Khalatian met with members of the Armenian community of Zakho in the church hall. The gathering was attended by Mr. Dawoud Marderosian, Chairman of the Sub Administrative Committee, together with several members of the committee.
