On August 15-2021, a liturgy was held on the occasion of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary into Heaven at the Church of the Virgin Mary in Zakho, headed by the pastor of the church, Father Masis Shahinian. During the mass, the grapes were blessed  with the presence of the head and members of the administrative subcommittee and a large number of the church’s faithfuls.
