The New Year’s liturgy was held at the Church of St. Mary the virgin in Zakho Celebrated by the Church’s pastor, Father Masis Shahinian on the 1st of January 2022. After the Liturgy, the rite of blessing the pomegranate was performed, and the godfather of the cross was chosen to serve the water blessing on the Christmas Liturgy, where the deacon Harout Bedrosian was chosen.
