On the 15th of January 2022, His Eminence Archbishop Dr. Avak Asadourian, head of the Armenian Orthodox sect in Iraq, celebrated a Prayer at the Church of the Virgin Mary in Zakho. The prayer was attended by the head and members of the Administrative Subcommittee of Zakho and many faithfuls.
