On September 30, 2022, in his first pastoral visit, Archimandrite Oshagan Gulgulian, head of the Armenian Orthodox sect in Iraq, and members of the Armenian diocesan council arrived in Duhok, Where His Eminence was welcomed by Father Masis Shahinian, the church pastor, the head and members of the Armenian diocesan sub council, deacons and the church choir. A Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the church of St. Virgin Mary in Zakho by father Masis Shahinian and father Atam Movsesian. Fathers and priests from various churches attended the Liturgy, Pastor Philipos Daoud, pastor of the Assyrian Church of the East, Father Fayez Al-Shamani, pastor of the Syriac Orthodox Church, Father Paules Atallah, pastor of the ancient Eastern Church, Father Yousif Yako, pastor of the Chaldean Catholic Church, as well as the members of the Armenian diocesan sub council in Erbil, Mr. Shant Muradian and Mr. Razmik Muradian, chairmen and members of the Armenian Diocesan sub council of Zakho, Avzrok, Havresk, and a lot of believers. A memorial shield was presented to his Eminence the Archimandrite by Mr. Eng. Yervant Eminian, Chairman of the Armenian Diocesan sub council of Duhok.
