On October 2nd, 2022, a delegation from the Hungary Helps Agency, represented by Mr. Peter Kovach, Director of the agency, Mr. Atilla Toth, Consul of the Hungarian Republic in the Kurdistan Region, and Mr. Tohme Jabara, the agency’s coordinator, visited the Armenian Orthodox Church of St. Virgin Mary in Zakho. The delegation was received by Archimandrite Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, Father Atam Movsesian, Pastor of the St. Virgin Mary Church in Zakho, as well as the chairman and members of the Armenian Diocesan Sub-council of Zakho, and engineer Vahig Lazarian.
During the meeting they discussed the stages of the church building project, specifying in depth details related to the project. Specifics were explained to the delegation of the Hungary Helps Agency by Archimandrite Gulgulian and project officials Mr. “Daoud Mardirosian,” Chairman of the Armenian Diocesan Sub-council of the St. Virgin Mary Church, the General Supervisor of the church project, and engineer Vahig Lazarian.
