On September 6, 2024, under the auspices of His Eminence Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, the administration building of the village’s administrative subcommittee was opened in the village of Avzrouk. The opening was attended by the pastor of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Zakho, Reverend Father Hagopos Isahakian; the head of the Central Administrative Committee, and the heads and members of the administrative subcommittees in Erbil, Dohuk, Zakho, Havresk, and Avzrouk.
