On August 1, 2026, under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, a Divine Liturgy was held at the Church of St. Vartan in the village of Avzrouk.
The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Archimandrite Antranik Kevorkian, with the participation of the parish priest, Reverend Father Masis Shahenian.
Among those in attendance were Mr. Garbed Kaloustian, Chairman of the Central Administrative Committee, together with the chairmen of the Administrative Subcommittees of Avzrouk and Zakho.
