On July 25, 2026, His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, accompanied by Archimandrite Nerseh Khalatian and Mr. Dawoud Marderosian, Chairman of the Sub Administrative Committee in Zakho, paid a pastoral visit to the village of Avzrouk.
They were welcomed by the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Masis Shahenian, the chairman of the Church Administrative Committee, members of the church’s Armash Choir, and the village Mukhtar.
Following the reception, the Armash Choir performed a selection of sacred hymns from the Divine Liturgy, adding a spiritual and uplifting atmosphere to the gathering.
