On July 15, 2026, His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, paid an official visit to Mr. Fawzi Hariri, Chief of the Diwan of the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region, in Erbil. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the general situation of the Armenian Orthodox community in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, as well as issues concerning the community and its affairs. The meeting was also attended by the Head of the Office for National and Religious Components Affairs at the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region.
