On February 15th, 2023, Archimandrite Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, arrived in the village of Avzrug and prayed at the Church of Saint Vartan, with the participation of the village’s faithful parishioners.
The Archimandrite was scheduled to preside over a liturgy on the next day of his visit on the occasion of St. Vartan Day.
The Archimandrite was accompanied by Father Artun Khalatian, Father Masis Shahinian, and Mr. Vartan Vartanian, the Deputy of the Armenian Diocesan Council.
