A Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Archimandrite Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, at the Church of Saint Vartan in the village of Avzrug on the occasion of the St. Vartan Day. The Liturgy was held at this church on this day in recognition that they hold the same name, St. Vartan.
The Archimandrite gave a Bible decorated with a silver cross to the church and blessed two people with the name of Vartan and one person with the name of Razmig.
The pastors of the churches of Erbil and Duhok, the Deputy of the Armenian Diocesan Council, and some members of the Armenian Diocesan Sub-council of Zakho, Havresk, and Duhok attended the liturgy.
