On November 30, 2024, His Excellency, the British Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Steve Hitchen, along with his accompanying delegation and Mr. Delshad Luqman Muhammad, the Relations Officer at the Zakho Administration, were welcomed to the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Zakho. The delegation was received by Reverend Father Hagopos Isahakian, the pastor of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Zakho; Mr. Dawood Marderosian, the Chairman of the Committee; and members of the Administrative Committee. On behalf of His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, the British Ambassador was presented with an Armenian Cross made of tuff stone.
