On February 27, 2025, under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, a Divine Liturgy was held on the occasion of Saint Vartan’s Day in the village of Avzrouk. The Liturgy was celebrated by Reverend Father Sebouh Baghdasarian, with the participation of the priests, Reverend Father Artoun Khalatian, pastor of the Armenian Church of the Holy Cross in Erbil, and Reverend Father Masis Shahinian, pastor of St. Nerses Shourhali Church in Dohuk. The Liturgy was attended by the heads and members of the central and sub-administrative committees of the churches of Iraq. During the Liturgy, the harissa was blessed and then presented to the faithful.
