On May 15, 2025, under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, a ceremonial celebration was held at the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin of in Zakho, marking the first anniversary of its consecration. During the event, eight members of the Church were granted the rank of Reader by His Grace the Bishop. Following the ordination, the church choir performed a selection of prayers and spiritual hymns, which was then followed by the screening of a documentary video. At the conclusion of the celebration, His Grace presented certificates and copies of the New Testament to the newly ordained readers. The event was attended by Reverend Father Hagopos Isahagian, Pastor of Saint Mary the Virgin Church; and Reverend Father Masses Shahenian, Pastor of Saint Nerses Shnorhali Church in Duhok; as well as the chairman and members of the subcommittees from Zakho, Duhok, Havresk, and Avzrouk.
