On November 29, 2025, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Oshagan Gulgulian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq, a prayer service was held at the Church of St. Vartan in the village of Avzrouk.
The service was celebrated with the participation of the priests:
Reverend Father Artoun Khalatian, Reverend Father Massis Shahinian, Reverend Father Hagopos Isahagian, Reverend Father Sepouh Baghdasarian, and Reverend Father Aren Marderosian.
After the service, the ceremony of conferring the rank of Reader was held for six young members of the church. His Grace the Bishop then presented certificates to the newly honored readers. The event was attended by the heads and members of the Sub-Administrative Committees of the churches of Avzrouk, Duhok, Havresk, and Zakho.
